TERMS & CONDITIONS

The following terms and conditions apply to the WAXIT Win R5000 in Waxing Competition. Spend R500 (five hundred rand) on waxing services or retail products in the month of December 2021 and get 1 (one) free entry into the draw to win R5000 (five thousand rand) worth of waxing.

1. By entering the WAXIT – Win R5000 in Waxing competition, all participants agree to be bound by these terms and conditions. 

2. In order to be eligible to enter the competition, a participant: 

2.1. Must be at least 18 years old and residing in the Republic of South Africa.

2.2. Participants that spend R500 (five hundred rand) or more on any waxing service and/or retail items receive one free entry into the draw.

2.3. Only one entry is valid per appointment date (ie, if the participant spends more than R1000 (one thousand rand), they only get one entry into the draw).

3. All participants who meet the eligibility requirements set out above will automatically be entered into the competition.

4. Directors, franchisees, suppliers, or employees of WAXIT, and their spouses, life partners, immediate family members and business partners are not eligible to participate in the competition.

5. The competition commences on 1 December 2021 and closes on 31 December 2021.

6. All elegible entries from the 8 WAXIT wax bars will be compiled and one winner will be drawn by electronic random selection on Monday 3 January 2022. The judges’ decision is final and no correspondence in this regard will be entered into.

7. The prize for this competition is R5000 (five thousand rand) worth of waxing and waxing related retail at your specified WAXIT wax bar.

7.1. Prize will be valid for use at your chosen WAXIT wax bar location.

7.2. R5000 (five thousand rand) will be loaded onto your personal WAXIT account at your chosen WAXIT Wax Bar location to be redeemed at your appointment.

7.3. The prize amount of R5000 (five thousand rand) must be used within one year of winning this prize at your chosen WAXIT location. 

8. The prize is not transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash or for any other item. 

9. The winner will be required to provide WAXIT with proof of identification in the form of a copy of his/her identity document, passport or South African driver’s licence at each appointment.

10. Notification of prize: 

10.1. Within 5 working days after his/her name has been drawn, the winner will be informed telephonically and by e-mail that he/she has won the prize. 

10.2.  WAXIT reserves the right to disqualify a winner if he/she does not respond to the telephone call, e-mail and/or direct message within 24 hours of being contacted indicating that he/she accepts the prize. In such event, WAXIT will be entitled to select another winner within 24 hours thereafter. 

10.3.  If a winner cannot accept a prize for any reason, that winner will forfeit his/her prize and another winner will be selected. 

10.4.  In order to claim his/her prize, a winner may contact the WAXIT Head Office via e-mail: support@waxit.co.za. 

11. The winners’ names will be published on WAXIT’s official website (www.waxit.co.za), the WAXIT Facebook page (@waxitsa) and the WAXIT Instagram page (@waxitsa).

12. Unless the winner specifically states otherwise, the winner agrees to participate in all promotional activity and hereby consents to WAXIT using his/her name and/or images in any promotional material for the purpose of promoting the competition. No compensation will be payable for such use. The winner will have the right to withdraw his/her consent for the use of his/her name, images and/or voice prior to the use thereof by WAXIT in any promotional activity. 

13. By participating in the Competition, each participant acknowledges, agrees and expressly gives consent to WAXIT to process the Participant’s personal information, including in the form of names, telephone numbers, and/or email addresses, during and after the course and scope of the Competition. 

14. WAXIT will not share any personal information with any third party. WAXIT will comply with the relevant data protection legislation, including POPIA.

15. By participating in the competition, you agree, subject to applicable law, that WAXIT, will not be liable for any losses, damages, costs or claims in connection with the competition or resulting from acceptance, possession, or use of any prize. 

16. WAXIT reserves the right to terminate, suspend or amend the competition for reasons beyond its control. WAXIT and its services providers, including any telephone network providers, are not responsible for incorrect or inaccurate transcription of entry information, technical malfunction, lost or delayed data transmission, omission, interruption, deletion, line failure or malfunction of any telephone network, computer equipment or software, the inability to access any website or online services or for any other error.

17. A copy of these terms and conditions will be available on the official WAXIT website www.waxit.co.za/terms-and-conditions/wax-and-win.
